Privacy & cookie policy
This page explains what data studioaarc collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because our setup is genuinely simple: no advertising, no third-party tracking, and nothing sold or shared.
Who we are
studioaarc is a web design studio. For anything in this policy, including any request about your data, contact us at [email protected]. We act as the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry
Our contact form collects your name, email, an optional business name, and your message. We use this only to read and reply to your enquiry. It is stored in our database (hosted by Cloudflare) and is never sold or shared with advertisers. The form is protected by a robot check and rate limiting to prevent spam and abuse.
When you browse
We measure anonymous, cookieless visits to understand what is useful and improve the site. This records the page path, the referring website's domain, a coarse country and device type, and a daily-rotating, non-reversible visitor token. We never store your raw IP address, set no tracking cookies, and cannot identify you or follow you across other sites. Whether this needs your prior consent depends on where you are, which the next section explains.
Cookies and local storage
- Strictly necessary: a single session cookie is set only when the studio owner signs in to the private dashboard. Visitors to the public site are not given this cookie.
- Your consent choice: we store your accept or decline choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every page.
- No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used anywhere on the site.
Your consent and control
Whether analytics needs your prior consent depends on your location, which we determine from a coarse, edge-level country signal:
- EU, UK and elsewhere: anonymous analytics runs only after you choose Accept.
- United States: anonymous, cookieless analytics runs by default, and you can switch it off at any time by choosing Decline.
Either way you stay in control: use the link in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. We never set tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Cloudflare hosts and secures the site and database, and provides an optional cookieless, aggregate analytics measure.
- Resend may deliver an email notification to us when you submit an enquiry, so we see it promptly.
- Google is used only for the studio owner's dashboard sign-in. It is not used for, and does not track, public visitors.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have given us, and you can withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the EU or UK, you have these rights under the GDPR and may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA; note that we do not sell or share personal information. To make a request, email [email protected].
How long we keep data
We keep enquiry messages for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up work, then remove them. Analytics is only ever aggregate and anonymous, so it is not tied to you.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be reflected in the cookie notice as well.
